Actually, I am retarded; you have a good point. The MCP-T is run through the southbridge, and all three of my nForce mobos have this same problem with the crackling sound. I will try to find a quick fix to this till I can get a Zalman cooler on there.

how high do you think a 3.0C could go on air?

I got one I was building recently up to 3.6GHz, but with a different cooler. The Zalman it probably the same quality as the SLK900U I used. The nice thing you do not have to worry about is burning up the processor. If you saw that movie at tomshardware, you know what I am talking about...

Barton 2500 or ...?

Well, I have a couple systems currently, and I say that it does not really matter. I have my 2400+ TBred B at 2.28GHz (2x190MHz FSB) right now; the voltage is at 1.725. The Barton is about the same, but since the clock starts at 11, and not 15 because of the std FSB, it will not hit that mark...

WEEEEEEEEEE!!!! I do not know why this worked, but I removed all traces of Seti@home from my puter (Reg/Dir) and reinstalled it. Now SetiSpy is reporting 1.76 hours per unit. Thanks everyone for taking your time to look over my post. I do not know why this solution worked, but I guess I do not...

Cache is on and games run sweet. The only time I ran 3dMark was w/o OC and I got well over 10000. I thought I knew a lot about computers, but this one has got me stumped!

Standard TEMP for a non-oc'd XP 2200?

Well, your CPU could run anywhere from 32-52 based on your case and your cooling. A little more info would be nice. A side note: XP cores are rated to run well up to around 60 degrees C.

When I run benchmarks on SisSoft Sandra, I rank inbetween a 2700 and a 2800. For memory timing, close to a KT333 board. For some damn reason it takes 24 hours to complete one seti@home work unit tho. I have run tests at both 133 and 150 MHz FSB, same results. Any thoughts would be much...

From Windows ME back to 98SE....HOW?
