Cept my box says 1 year, but the website says 3. I'm going by the website.
And it's an L model, so 2MB cache, but 3 year warranty.
It'll be an MP3 drive, so that's fine by me.
Zaino is the gold standard. For testing done on Zaino, Meguairs, and Zymol see:

Still, it's a cheap deal if you're driving a camry or something
HF FAQ
Lifetime warranty on HAND TOOLS.
Everything else is 30-90 days.
Sears, Ace, and others all offer lifetime on hand tools as well.
I supposed certain other specific items there might have lifetime, but I certainly wouldn't assume everything does based on their own FAQ.
I'd just pay the extra $25 for the deluxe board... if you ever decide you need any ONE of the extra features it'll cost you ~$25 to add a PCI card for it anyway, so why not get the SATA and the firewire and the 2nd LAN without any slot loss...plus you get better sound with the deluxe too.
The 9500 PRO is between a ti4400 and ti4600 for normal performance... but turn on FSAA or ani-filtering and it SPANKS the ti4600... by a LOT. And it supports DX9. Anand has a review of the shipping version and it's pretty damn good for its price point.... it's the card I'm recommending to...
Cruical (as of a couple days ago) would sell your 512MB of memory (2x256) for this laptop for about $160 plus shipping. So not only is that less, you could then sell the one DIMM you get with the laptop to make it even cheaper.
Heh... ok... let me rephrase... Someone find me a GOOD deal on a good laptop with a trackpoint...
Those IBM ebay prices used to be good 6 months ago...back when they were selling A/T series machines for under $999... lately they've not been so hot... The R series (like the i series before it)...
This is also nice for people upgrading TiVos... keep in mind a faster drive not only doesn't improve performance in that case, it's actually worse since cooling becomes an issue.
Yes, they were losing money, because they were using the same flawed business model as most other .coms... i.e. Lose money on each sale to build up a big customer base, then change prices/policies so you're making money...phase 3...profit!
Cept there's not much brand loyalty on the internet...
