dynamic disk?

i'd definately would like to know how well this works too, anyone tried? i was thinking of trying on my extra 2 30gb's, not my main system drive of course... would there be any performance increase with large file access?

Windows XP system starting to lag :O

one day it just started, whenever my harddrive is in use, the mouse would stall and skip, and winamp will sound like a broken record. i've never had this problem with any other OS, nor XP for a while... i've tried cacheman and other tweaks, im not sure what's wrong... i have no other programs...

Logitech wheel skips

my logitech optical mouse wheel skips when i scroll, every other turn i make with the mouse scroll, it scrolls twice for each turn and sometimes it wont scroll, then the next turn it will scroll 2 or 3 times... if i delete the mouse software and re-install, the problem goes away for a while has...

Sound problem - out of ideas

what's your soundcard? i had that problem with my Hercules Game Theater XP, i fixed it by going to win2k's sound and multimedia properties set Preferred hardware playback to be GameTheaterXP instead of YamahaWaveSynth somehow it switched itself to use the MIDI drivers, which make game sounds...

Divx playback problems in Win2000

I've had no problems with Divx 3.11, i think after i've installed divx 4.11 codec, most of my divx movies skip a few frames every 20-30 seconds, what's up with that? i have geforce 2 gts and win2k and hercules game theater xp.. all drivers are updated anybody have that problem? i would still...

re-installing windows2k

is it possible to do a clean install over the existing windows2k directory, and save the application installation settings? since i dont feel like re-installing the programs... my registry in win2k is messed up, (code 19) i can't get my cdrw and dvd drives to work. and win2k cant restore the...

yea i dont undertand why this would be a problem, its just a mouse, and even with default win2k drivers, the wheel doesnt work

what causes HDD LED to stay on constantly?

ur positive the wires are connected correctly? the white wire is the ground, unless it's black and red, then i think the red is ground. does your HDD have a LED of its own on the bottom, check if that's always on. if it's not always on then the LED connection from the case is wrong...

hmm.... the only reason why i install mouseware is probably because i like to use the middle button as internet back command... there is a reg setting to make your mousewheel compatible for games

Logitech Optical wheel won't work in 2K

i just bought a new logitech mousewheel optical... installed the mouseware 9.24, the wheel scrolling doesnt work in 2k, but when i restarted into 98, it works fine... setups are the same on both OS's... mouseware 9.24, ps2 rate at 100hz... i plug the mouse thru the PS/2 port... should i make it...

How does one do a Clean driver install of Detonators in win2k?

boot up into safe mode, go to hardware profile or system properties.. delete the drivers for your graphics card... or go to c:\windows\inf and find out what *.inf files the card is using and delete it
