Does a gaming laptop like this exist?

The Alienware 18 has a "semi-glossy" PLS screen with decent color reproduction and contrast, and you can configure the 17 with a 120Hz glossy TN screen.

Alienware 14 a good laptop?

I think that the Alienware 14 and Clevo W230ST are the best 13-14" options. Both have 1080p IPS matte screen options, GTX 765m GPUs, and many customization options. The Alienware is larger and its PSU has a higher capacity, so it should have a better performance threshold, but it's almost a 15"...

Need a gaming laptop

I would avoid buying a new m17x because the 1080p screen is no longer available. Wait until the refresh (m17x r5), buy a refurbished or used m17x, or buy an MSI or something.

Laptop for college and gaming under $2000 (preferably under $1500)

I think that I will buy the MSI GT60 with the GTX 680m. Does anyone have other thoughts? Clevo looks like a mess--poor speakers and headphone jack, poor keyboard rollover, poor quality control--and all of the Alienware models have glossy display covers.
