Well, isn't there a Porsche commercial that's kinda similar? I find it perfectly harmless... I mean the Outpost.com commericials with hamsters being shot out of cannons was far "worse"...

I ran 1.5 miles in 11:02 today

That's pretty friggin good... I can only do it a little over a minute faster. I am close to 10 yrs younger though! And to think... when I was training a lot more (bad knees) I was only at 9:45 pace or around 20mins flat for 5ks.

Does drinking beer make you fat?

When I have beer and don't get off my @$$ and do some cardio and keep eating fast food... I'm pretty much done for... my waist blimps out pretty darn fast... they don't call it beer belly for nothing. Man, and it used to be so easy to maintain my 29" waist... I'm gettin old.

All I see is annoying dorky associates or their "shark" bosses... I also see lots and lots of dorky junior high kids in BBY when I'm in there or old people with nothing better to do than annoy the workers.

Opinions on Mazda Miata.

Well, one of my friends (among other people I know that autoX) owns one as his daily beater. Since it's summer right now that's fine. He planned on using his AWD Talon as the winter car and "race" car. Yes, the Miata has and always will have the "flamboyant" image attached to it... heck...

Umm... considering how stupid most "good" drivers are and since you'll have a set of steel rims just collecting dust, why not? Even drivers that know true car control f-up in the snow... they just have better ability to recover from them. Most all-seasons suck pretty hard in the snow. Whether...

Recommend wheels for my car.

Sounds like a trip to Tirerack to pick up some summer tires on rims is in order. Then buy a set of winter/snow tires to go on your steelies. You'll be a boatload safer in bad weather. Dedicated snow tires are WORLDS better than "all-seasons." A nice K&N drop-in replacement filter is...

I'm thinking about buying an STI

Umm... nothing is safe... I've seen ALL of the above modded to look crappy and drive slower with hundreds of pounds of ICE and ugly body mods on them. Besides, the M3 is still a yuppie car even if you aren't a yuppie. Just like the Camaro and Mustang are "mullet"/guido cars and my Eclipse is...

I hate that paint color... And what size are your stock rims? They look like either 14s or 15s. 17s would look absolutely ridiculous on it. Anywho, painting your calipers and stuff is pretty pointless most of the time. The paint either chips, peels, or LIGHTS ON FIRE! Oh, and I hope...

Toyota Volta hybrid sports car spied in the open

Is it just the concept sitting on a trailer? There were rumors that the next Supra will have similar bodylines to the Volta... but rumors about the Supra always tend to be that. Just rumors :(

Actually, the Koreans were not protesting Hamm's scores... they were protesting their gymnast's scores. They took away a tenth of a point automatic deduction from the eventual bronze medalist that should not have been taken away. It pretty much cost the Korean the gold. However, I agree...
