Got mine yesterday. Looks like it is running some flavor of *nix. Don't know which one. The mobo has connections for the mouse and keyboard but the case doesn't allow access to them. Need to mod the case to use them, assuming they were not disabled by the OS. It doesn't have a floppy or a CD...

Now Dead Another Smoking one - Dell OptiPlex Desktop P4-1.6GHz 128MB 20GB CD-ROM NIC $358 shipped

Ordered 04/27 Arrived in So. CA 05/02 Booted up but no video signal. Had to reseat the video card. Bought this sys for my brother in law. Now he's got a faster system than me. I only wish my PowerEdge 500SC was this quiet. :D Now on to the rebate debacle.... :confused:

(Dead) Compaq FS740 17" .25 monitor w/Speakers & Mic for "$49.97 AR at CompUSA

I saw this monitor at BB for $199 but it was an opened box item (didn't see whether they were offering the speakers with it as well). I grabbed one of the compaq monitors at the Redondo Beach, CA CompUSA. They were flying out the door! :)

Win XP Internet Connection lost. Help, please.

Running Win XP Pro on my Dell PowerEdge 500SC. I have lost my internet connection. :( I can ping 127.0.0.1 and ipconfig gives me the DHCP assigned address 192.168.xxx.xxx. Gateway info is also correct. Other computers connected to my DLink router can connect to the internet. They are running...
