Q6600 temps

damn I thought my temps were high. I think that is WAY TO HIGH..someone correct me if I'm wrong. You voltage doesn't look too high either and the OC seems to be pretty conservative. I think you need to reapply or check something. I had like 37-40 idle and 57 load and I thought that was too...

Whats up with this adding +15c to temp readings?

I believe if you read in the sticky, speedfan reads low by 15c. A program like RMClock is supposed to read the accurate reading. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Confused by my vcore

I have the abit as well and would like it to drop as my temps are a bit high for my taste. Although since it is so high, I've been able to OC up to 333x9 with a 1C temp increase, since the vcore was so high. I believe it's due to the shitty lap job, but I'll check it some other time.

So doing UAC doesn't really disable driver signing. What do you do to do it? Coretemp freaks out on me, older version says drivers not found and gives me zero readings. Newer version freaks out by throwing constant no driver found windows until I force quit it. Thanks for the help.

core temps from speedfan? if so my stuff must be running realllllyyyy cold. time to oc the poo out of it. I did disable driver signing, atleast from what I know. Isn't it called UVA? or are you talking about the thing that you need to do through command prompt.

Anyone have suggestions? I've been using speedfan and know that you must add 15c or so, but I want something a bit more accurate. I've tried some of the work arounds, but nothing works. Can anyone suggest something other than going back to a 32bit ps: not sure if this belongs on this...

Well from what I can tell it is seated (It's a Thermalright U-120 Extreme) but then again it tends to slide around with force (POS) anyways. Only thing I can think of is that I did not plug any fan directly into the CPUFan socket instead for my HSF I plugged it else where. Can't be that...

I'm getting a long beeping that is consistant...sounds like an ambulance. like deee duhh deee duhhh and so on. I have two sticks of ram at 1 gig each, tried different slots and one at a time, still no go. I have a Q6600 with a X1950XT and Corsair 2x1gb ram. Any suggestions? ps...

hmm I think I might have ordered the wrong vga cooler. the VF700 doesn't fit on the X1950XT right? If it does, how much thermal paste is needed? grain of rice or less?

Abit IP35-E Review (500MHz FSB board)...$90 @ NewEgg + $6.61 ship

Wanted to let people know that mwave price for the ip35-e has dropped some $20+ and still has the $20 MIR that I am aware of. This happened last night (I was checking the price, it stated 91.30 or so but added to cart it was 117 or so) then in the morning it was 91.30 or so added to cart...

Quad Core or Dual Core ???

I use the same programs along with some others and went with a quad. I rarely play games now so I don't see the need for a superclocked out cpu, id rather have something for multi-tasking. I'd say go with a quad. =)
