why isn't foot controllers ever used in modern gaming?

Back before they fixed the insanely large turning radius of Geralt in Witcher 3, I was thinking of hooking up my Logitech G27 and driving him around with the wheel, and using accelerate to go forward and brake to go backwards. They ended up fixing his movement somewhat so I never bothered, but...

Yes I posted with my wife's profile by accident, it was me though. Good idea for the M4, I will update it next time I go over there, and maybe disconnect the WD drive and put another in it for now.
