PVR and video recording on the/your computer

What is the difference between the Hauppauge PVR-150 and PVR-150 MCE? Is is just bounded software, or is there any hardware differences? Can you use the MCE version in a non-Windows Media Center computer (ie: XP Home)?

WHY is Nvidia making us pay to enable the still crippled decoding on our 6800s?

I thought the 6800 PCIe uses DDR? The 6800 GTO uses GDDR3, which would seem to indicate it's a bumped down 6800 GT, which would then make the 6800 GTO a NV45. Can someone explain this further?

To clarify further, is it only the AGP versions of the GT/U that are still broken? Are the PCI Express versions now working properly?

Does LCDs with usable speakers exist?

Is the DI-624's firewall secure enough?

6800GTO ... 6800GT for PCI-e Already in Dell Computers?

My bios is 5.40.02.17.15, and I successfully unlocked the 4 pipes and 1 shader. However, I have not been able to overclock the card at all.

6800GTO ... 6800GT for PCI-e Already in Dell Computers?

You should read this thread about the GTO. Aside from the slower core and memory speed, it also only has 12 pipelines and 5 shaders enabled. However I and many others were able to activate all 16 pipelines and 6 shaders, and overclocking is pretty easy (except for me, apparently).

2001FP Problem: Can't see anything before XP logon screen!

My work comp has a 9800XT connected to a 2001FP, and ocassionally the monitor goes blank during boot-up right when the log-in screen is supposed to pop up. Turning the monitor off and on, or cycling through the selected inputs resolves the issue though. I don't have this problem on my home...

What's the Geforce 6800 GTO?

Re: Temps My GTO (with all 16 pipelines enabled, as well as the 6 shaders, but NOT overclocked) is idling at 58-59c, and spikes to 68-70 under extended loads (Doom 3, BF:V). This is in a stock Dell 8400 case. I don't recall the ambient temp, but will check when I get home and update this post.
