CD-Rom Problems

Ok.. so I have an Asys A7V266-E mobo, with a cd-r and cd-rom hooked up to IDE channels 1 and 2, the harddrive is on raid. Well, noticed a few days ago that my drives were gone.. cannot access them at all, and device manager says This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load...

What's the best heatsink fan for AMD XP 1900?

SwiftTech is the way to go. Be careful with the MCX462, it is a very good way to crack the die on the chip. I am using a SwiftTech MCX370 and happy with it. Having a copper base always helps out too, but just adds to the weight. http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/extremecooling.html for all...

Athlon 1700xp on Asus a7v266 "give me a hand?"

Did you raise the core voltage to get it stable at 150.. or what? I can only get mine up to about 143 or 145 MHz before it becomes unstable.

Which mobos use the PC2100 memory.

It all depends on the fetures you want on your board. Like said, there are $50 boards out there, but they are going to be the least on features. But if you want a full blown board, you can go with the Soyo Dragon Plus (Fully packed board). Then there is the Asus A7V266-E. Again, fully packed...

What fans in your SX1030 SX1040

Thanks for the info. I was looking at the Sunon 80mm, but that are 25CFM at 23.4 dBA. I like your choice for quiet fans a lot better.

What's so bad about the Asus A7V266-E

Along with what everyone has been saying with the board, and almost all XP boards, everyone seems to go with crucial... I want to know why you would over like.. corsair. Pricewatch has crucial for $161 (same as crucial website) for DDR PC2100 ? CL=2.5 ? Unbuffered ? Non-parity ? 7.5ns ? 2.5V ...
