yeah, but at Berkeley (i was there for undergrad), priority is given for waitlisted people, they dont increase the class size or kick people out who are enrolled. and in berkeley, at least the waitlists are big enough for a lot of people to get on it. at ucla its small

for my grad classes in SEAS, they let everyone in. so those signup numbers mean nothing. they still might let you in. plus they want you out of there too, they might give you priority over someone who is taking it, but not about to graduate.

Calling all Civ Engs...How feasible would it be to build a trans-oceanic bridge?

WHAT?!? How can you just post random numbers like that just to make your point correct. You cant possibly need $6m for one week of wages/maintanence/admin. If you are going to make numbers up, at least make it somewhat reasonable. What if you are making your stuff in a sweat shop?

A river is a LOT different from an ocean, and the US army core of engineers do more "black box" engineering than actual design work

Trillian- How to see idle time?

it shows up for AIM and Yahoo IM users for me, im using v.2.01 pro RC3 with the trillian whistler skin, if that makes a difference

trillian does allow you to do that, for AIM users, when you hover over their name, it shows their icon, username, service, warnings, online time, away message (if they are away), idle time (if they are idle), and capabilities i have been testing out the options in preferences->contact list but...

How do you convert clone image files back to program files

you can use a program like Daemon-Tools or Alcohol to mount those images on a virtual drive so it seems like the CD itself is there. Its good when you want to play a game but you dont want to leave the CD in your drive. Or you can use Winiso to explore the image files, almost like its a zip file.

See if your antivirus software REALLY works

Sophos AV stopped the download when it detected the viruses. When i turned off the auto detect for archives. It detected all 7 when i tried to unzip. I am using version 3.78d, Engine 2.18

Trillian Question

It shows up for me when i have the cursor over their name on the contact list. Im using ver. 2.01 pro if that makes a difference it shows their icon, service, online time and some other information that is specific to what service they are on.

options for tv capture cards

i want to buy a tv capture card and am considering a ATI tv wonder pro remote control (recommendation from friend) edition. However, i cant find any info on it. Even ati's site doesnt have much on it. and i cant anywhere to buy it. can anyone give me any leads to where i can find info/buy it...

Help!! Partition Magic 8 lost my files

Thanks for the info elfheart. I was able to get a lot of my files back using ZAR. I would have tried Restorer2000, but the files i need are larger than 64kb. Thank you both for you help.

Help!! Partition Magic 8 lost my files

I used PM 8 to merge two of my partitions, D and E, neither of them primary. It asked me to select a folder on D to save the files from E to which i did. However, at the end the files were not moved and the E drive was not even formatted. Has anyone had this problem? Is there anyway i can get...

anyone have a mp3 player/usb drive and would like to share opinion?

i found something that looks the exact same thing as the mushkin one online, labeled as magic star magic star its cheaper there than at mushkin, but not sure if there are any differences, like if they dont use mushkin's memory.
