onboard sounds MUCH better than the SB card. this should not be, so obviously my sound card is bad Thanks for all the help

alright, after a fully updated bios, and new sound card drivers, issues are worse than ever. Am now going to try to use the onboard sound, to see if that makes a difference.

yeah, not sure what exactly went wrong last time i installed the creative drivers, as i KNOW i installed the vista drivers. that is prolly the problem i think the 6 series is xp drivers or some shit. Gonna see if this changes anything

alright, am able to run CCleaner all the way through. I feel like a neglectful parent >.< (7 gigs deleted, and close to 200 registry issues) I am afraid Child Services is gonna take my baby away.

BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD ASUS P5NSLI ACPI BIOS Revision 0601 07/13/2006 Sound Card Driver: 6.0.1.1242 from 2/12/2007 only problem is that the creative driver is not WHQL signed Running CCleaner now

Alright, first off, its been a LONG time since i have been here. But my own considerable resources couldn't solve this problem. I am no computer n00b (despite what my use of vista might indicate =P) I have built more than 20 computers, starting when i was 12 (i am 19 now, you do the math)...

Sata boot disk not recognized

Thanx, but my dad took his computer to work and just swapped out the sata for an IDE cause its easier. His machine is overall gonna have 560 gb of space. 120 in IDE, 440 in sata

My dad and I are building an audio machine and we have a 40 gb Wd sata 150 hard drive that we want to use as a boot disk. However, windows XP setup claims that it cannot find a hard drive. Help would be appreciated. We are running the setup on an ASUS A8V deluxe, with 2gb Mushkin 2-2-2 and...

Anybody Know How a 37" plasma TV would work with an Xbox Or PS2?

I want to know how good the picture quality will be. If you hook up a computer it is quite grainy. Will a console be any different? It plays DVDs fine.
