I replaced both sticks of RAM (Infineon 3-3-3-8's this time), and everything's fine now. I guess I just had a dud stick.

I ran Memtest86 all night in dual channel mode and no errors. Does it have a more aggressive setting? P.S. Where the heck in the BIOS can I adjust the Vcore? Isn't it supposed to be in the "System Frequency/Voltage" page?

Just an update - running Prime95 now. For some reason, I cannot run the Blend test for more than 2-3 minutes. After that, the program tells me I have a "rounding error" and terminates the test. The plot thickens! The other two, more CPU-centric tests seem to be working fine (I'm running the...

Whoops. :) Enermax 350W PSU. Voltages on all the rails look good. I have only one PCI card in the system, a SB Audigy. PCI Latency is 64 (default).

Just wanted to add - I'm not OCing. Stock speeds. Cool n Quiet is running. AGP voltage is nominal.

My Lite-On 40x/12x/48x just exploded! (Edit: Pics!)

Someone posted a similar incident online on his hardware site, but it was with an IL-2 Sturmvolk disc and an Aopen 52x. Lousy drive? Defective disc? They never did find out, but it is pretty funny. I thought Liteon's load-balancing bearing system would prevent discs from vibrating and tearing...

New WinXP Audigy drivers at Creative's site.....

Me too. Had to reformat, I couldn't get into the GUI mode without BSODing. Fun fun fun. But that OpenAL support is very tempting. I suppose you would just install these drivers on a current build? I am running the CD ones (August 2001) with the AUDGVRM patch. This is very confusing.
