<< I was wondering about that too. I finally realized that it means they make a USB and a Firewire model. I don't think one enclosure supports both. >>
Yeah, i think so too .. but it's kinda stupid to print that "Firewire and USB2.0" feature in front of the box.

Ginta, search for "Model#. ME-320U2" on this page. It's the fourth item from the bottom.
Then, click on the see "See It" link among the description of the above item, which will bring you to this page.. The 2nd bulleted point on the product box seems to suggest that the enclosure supports...

A few mins later, I called the...
2 questions:
1. Anyone know if there is a 5.25" Firewire/USB2.0 enclosure out there?
2. Has anyone put in a 3.5" HDD into the 5.25" Firewire/USB1.1 enclosure found on CompGeeks.com? Does it work??

Good news is only if they start shipping to those that pre-ordered months ago ... well, we'll see if the bar on this post' S200 poll starts moving in the right direction. People who got them, please update the poll.

I just received my Firewire PCMCIA card from Compgeeks today. I plugged it into my EVO N400C notebook and the card was detected and installed w/o a hitched. I hooked up my Sony digital camcorder and was able to capture video from the camcorder. I thought everything was good, but apparently not...
So, what's the deal with 3.5HD?? Can this enclosure hold a 3.5" HD? Has anyone tried this? Please let us know.

Ooops, I posted in the wrong thread. I thought this thread is for the 5.25"/3.5" USB1.1./Firewire enclosure. My bad. But if anyone do know the answer to my questions, please...
