If i run my system(xp1800 + 8kha+) and my power supply doesnt have enough juice(only 300w), what's the wort possible...

cool, thanks guys ima stop by fry's and pick up the antec 282 for 49 bucks(hopefully)

outcome? can't fry anything right? it just won't turn on? anyone have the same setup and get it to work perfectly with a 300 watt power supply(if so please specify ur type)... im considering the antec 282 :\

What kind of case(with default power supply) do u guys use for your xp1800 cpu?

hey thanks for the reply....i think i'll check fry's tomorrow on my way back to school.....anyone else use 300w power supplies for their 1800 or higher cpus? (btw im going to have two harddrives, one burner, one floppy...and that's about it for now...and of course lan cards, geforce card, sb...

welllllll thanks for your opinion.........but do you think it's good enough to cool the cpu and keep the system stable? You scared me away from the k7s5a so i figure the epox would be a much better option :) about 2 hours ago i saw a post in the hotdeals forum about the 8kha+/xp1800cpu combo...

Good enough to run a stable system with no chance of overheating? Do i need thermal grease? NO OVERCLOCKING for me~1.5ghz is enough for me...i just stopped by fry's and asked the guy what I need for a stable system and cpu since the cpu was oem, and he just handed me the volcano 6cu :\

XP 1800+ with EPoX 8KHA+ $199 at Fry's (Southern California)

i picked mine up ! just got back, it comes with brand new motherboard and really is the 8kha+ and brand new oem cpu, i also bought a volcano 6cu as the heatsink for my cpu...anyone know if this is good enough for my system to run stable(im not going to OC)? by the way, the price is amazingly...

What mobos allow SDRAM and DDR Ram besides K7s5a

urgh? how do u check if it's revision 4? if there's a sticker between pci slots? does anyone know what revision newegg distributs currentlY?
