another vote for an LJ 5-series - I got a 5N for about a hundred bucks...more printer than i'll ever use plus it was networkable - which means no need for a print server if you have several computers.

Windows only sees 1.37 GB of RAM on my A8N32 SLI Delux

7300GS

Anyone checked out the 7300GS? Seems like a bit of an upgrade from the 6200 series. I was thinking maybe i'd pick one up for my secondary machine instead of something from the 6600 line. What do you guys think? where does this 7300GS fit in compared with 6-series cards?

Need an fdisk utility to partition larger than 40 gig drive

well, as DaveSimmons said, use the drive prep utility available from the manufacturer. Figure out if the drive is maxtor, seagate, western digital and go to their website, and get their drive software for free. ie seagates Seatools, Maxtor's maxblast, or Western digital's data lifeguard tools.

Can You Make thumbdrive from ram ?

well, if it's DDR, Gigabyte is coming out with a new adapter for a ram hard drive ...it was discussed at computex, supposedly out in july/august at $50 street price... basically takes your ram on a card (uses the pci slot for power only), and uses the sata bus so it appears as a hard...

mobo or CPU failed?

So I've got an MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum, after reading lots of good things on it. Also have an AMD 3200+. working relatively well for a while, went to put a new hs/f on it as I wanted to try and get the temps down. So everything is back, and I go to boot up in dual channel, non-oced, and it starts...

AMD to migrate all desktop CPUs to Socket M2

Considering the emphasis the AMD platform puts on timings, moving to DDR2 is probably not much of an upgrade. With typical cas latencies around 4 on DDR2, and with DDR running similar bandwidth at cas 2.5 or 3, I can't see DDR2 being all that attractive unless they can bring the cas latencies...

MSI K8N Neo2 Plat.

So I have a 3200+ a64 chip, which I know can hit 2.5Ghz at least. Tested it with some older dual channel pc3200 and a ratio, and it was stable for days in prime95, 2t command rate was the other thing that worked. 200MHz "FSB" at this point, 5X HTT Got some patriot PC4400, which worked awesome...

is it possible to connect Linux box to DSL or cable internet?

Comcast = cable, no software required. SBC = DSL, and PPPoE, so yes, you'd need some software, but just a PPPoE client, and there are lots available for linux. If software was required, people wouldn't be able to use routers. Pretty much the only isps that require proprietary software are...

possibly either the provider DNS is screwed up, or they (www.mysticriver.net) have blacklisted you, or your provider is blocking the site.

What about the celeron mobile. - the northwood ones with the silver top? I have one of these on my laptop, it's apparently different voltage. Overclockable?
