You will also want to investigate pro-level vid cards. I myself am not terribly well-versed with such cards, but I know they include features that are designed for purposes such as yours.

Either way, disabling WOL in the BIOS should still fix the problem. It's alot easier than searching through hundreds of setting options in Windows. Even if it doesn't fix it (unlikely), you'll have wasted, what, one minute?

Yes, though Windows might give you some warning about disconnecting improperly, yada, yada. There should be a little icon in the systray you can double-click to disconnect the device before turning it off.

Don't worry about it. Everyone calls wheel covers hubcaps, myself included. I clarified purely for diagnostic purposes. You would have to jack the car up and remove the rotor/drum to perform an inspection. If you're feeling ambitious and have some tools, I can walk you through the process...
