What is this SCSI interface you speak of? This sounds like the new fangled techno geek stuff you think of when you think of the distant future like 1999. Is it safe to delete the C:\WINDOWS\TEMP directory to make space for Doom II?

Oh, and my drive was firmware AAE and manufactured in Oct 06. I hope this helps someone.

Yeah, I had a USB/eSATA external case. I hadn't purchased the eSATA expresscard yet. Thankfully I was able to use reiserfsck to rebuild the drives I transferred the data from. A good way to tell would be noise levels of the drive while seeking. Mine was VERY loud. :-/ I'm no expert on this...

I got one of these and it crashed after I had transferred my Music and Videos to it... it seems that these are a hit or miss. There are 3 factories where they make these: China (old Maxtor factory?), Singapore, and Thailand. Mine was from China. The Singapores seem to be the best bet. See...

Enable Virtualization on the C2D T5500

I have a Core 2 Duo T5500 and it seems as if this chip doesn't have Intel's Virtualization technology enabled. I can't imagine that Intel would create an entirely different silicon fab line just for the T5500 while the T5600 which also has 2MB L2 cache has virtualization hardware support...
