Question on system build

I plan on primarily using the computer for general multi tasking, some gaming, and photo and video editing. As far as RAID goes I'm not really familiar with it at all. I would be using 2 hard drives (so is that RAID 0/1???). Is it worth while to set up a larger 3 or 5 disk array?

remote file posting

I just graduated college and we had a nice shnazy file server, ftp of course, and everyone was allocated about 100mb, I know its not much but it was great for backing up docs, etc... I was wondering if anyone had a recomendation for any companies who will host an ftp, I would prefer something...

Unable to play mpegs

VLC and classic both work awesome, WMP is still crap, oh well, I like these better, thanks.

Unable to play mpegs

A few months ago I tried playing one of my many mpeg movies and to my dismay it would not load, not it WMP, not i Winamp, not in creative player, nothing. I then decided to try them in iTunes and low and behold they all work, very choppy mind you but they played. I updated all video drivers...

x1900xt 256 v. 1900xtx 512

unfortunately newegg stopped carrying a reasonably priced xt 512, all the rest were more expensie than the xtx I purchased so thats the route I went...

What are some pet peeves you have in the way people talk?

1. Anytime people add consanants on the end of a word: i.e. Idear, Lawr, Anyways 2. amount vs. number: They are different. 3. Improper use of plurals: i.e. Data vs. Datum 4. Passive voice, the hell is bugged out of me when the passive voice is spoken by people.
