i just added a 256mb stick of crucial pc133 ram for a total of 384mb pc133 sdram and i didnt notice much of a change at all in the amount of free system resources. Im running windows ME (POS). can anyone explain this?

sometimes when going to a new web site or when recieving an IM my sound and music buzzes for just a second. is this a problem with my sound card or speakers? SB Live! Value some altec lansing 2.1s (like 3yrs old)

here are the rest of my specs to give you an idea of what else is using the power supply: 866mhz PIII 128mb pc133 sdram (adding 256 more with the vid card) shitty dell mobo 20gig 7200rpm ATA100 hd TNT2 model 64 (32mb ram) AGP 4x 12x dvdrom (generic/dell) generic/dell burner (pretty slow) SB...

I upgraded and things are running slower?!

pc2700 is DDR not RDRAM. what did u have in there before? you might have switched from RDRAM to DDR. DDR is slower
