How long does an ATI RMA take?

They finally refunded my cash, but only after how many months, so I suggest you call tech support as they seem more willing or able to help, as opposed to hesdoffice.

Sony G400 v.s. Samsung 900nf ?

help identifying this Radeon

Should I use a shim or thermal compound?

how is globalwin's CAK38??

2 80mm sunon in front, 1 sunon (80mm) rear and other (unknown) 80mm asa well as power supply fan and a radio shack squirrel cage fan. Also some smaller fans on vid, northbridge and sound card.

I'm using it with a thermaltake fan (same as the one on your VolcanoII), the stock delta is way too loud. Nice solid copper heatsink though, also quite heavy and I wasn't impressed with the clip, you may want to consider a shim with this one. I'm at 51-53 while gaming and the room has no air...

A quieter fan

I had the same problem with the CAK38, I didn't expect the hairdryer effect either. I tried "corking" the entire inside of the case. This deadened the effect, but I thought it was still loud (I also run 6 80mm case fans for cooling). I even corked the inside of the front cover to...

I think I just broke my tbird :(

Your powersupply is listed under aopen, I believe. It's the same as mine so that shouldn't be a problem. Why not try a Sunon 40mm fan or the Thermaltake 40mm, they are both supposed to be reasonable in terms of noise levels. oops, I mean 60mm, not 40!
