How real is CL / MHz * 1000 ?

I've read that in trying to estimate the interaction of latency and clock speed for memory this formula can be used: CL / MHz * 1000 = best responsiveness in milliseconds But how far / how seriously can you really take that? I don't have trouble believing that DDR4-3733 with CL17 could be...

How does the 2500K look today?

Which benchmarks for AutoCAD, Inventor, Bridge/ACR

I do 2D in AutoCAD, 3D in Inventor, and lots of raw image conversion in Bridge/ACR/Photoshop. Couldn't care less about gaming if I tried. Which benchmarks are the most meaningful to me? I don't mind going to other sites if Anandtech's reviews don't include what I need.
