Worst Video Card You Have Owned?

This is a silly question. Why? Because people are automatically listing an old card as the "worst" video card they ever owned. Naturally, cards from way back when will look pale in comparison to today's cards. It is like asking the question: what is the worst CPU you ever owned...

Pitiful performance of the V5-6000

Some of you people are jumping on the drivers-bandwagon without thinking. It is like a knee-jerk response or something. Why don't you look at the Voodoo5 5500 scores posted in various benchmarks (like the one from Anandtech as an example)? Then double the score that the Voodoo5 5500 provides...

64MB GTS Q3 benchmark....

On my Radeon, max settings, my scores were 1024x768x32: 66 FPS trilinear 1024x768x32: 61 FPS anisotropic (max) TC is off since my card is a 64MB card and don't need any texture compression. I upgraded my machine this week. This is on a Thunderbird 950MHz running at 1GHz (can't seem to go any...

Three posts in a row...Anyway, Why is it that there are no MDK2 scores, Quake II scores, or scores from any other OGL application including other Quake III engine games? With all these Voodoo5 users here, one would think that one of you would test it out in some application other than Quake III.

No, my editorial here didn't go overboard. It was written at the time when people, on behalf of the Voodoo5, were actively downplaying the significance of faulty benchmark scores being presented. Do you catch my drift? I don't mind comparisons where one or more cards were given an advantage...

Check out Crappy Hardware on a short editorial on benchmarks. It actually covered a topic related to the V5 not rendering the frames as originally intended--eg. trilinear turned on but not used by the card. But as you can see, it also relates to this current HSR topic--frames are not rendered...

Best TV Tuner

VoodooTV 200 has video capture (I assume that is what you meant by "digital VCR"). But I don't use it. I have used Hauppage's product and I also have the VTV200. If the signal in your cable is weak, you may want the VTV200. I have cable but some channels did not come in too clearly...
