I just tested the app on my android phone. It appears to send UDP packets to your default gateway/router on port 9. No traffic is returned so really this app can only test transmit speeds leaving your device to the access point that it is connected...
I recommended the Actiontec moca adapters to someone for extending connectivity out to detached garage that already had a coax drop. They were happy with the speed and reliability of the connection. The only thing I would like to see is gigabit interfaces instead of fast ethernet. That way...
I would highly suggest watching a video series to get a quick understanding of the ccna material. I believe cbt nuggets has a free trial.
The bare minimum you need for your setup is an interface on both the router and switch on the same network and then add static routes on each device or try...
Java is only required for the applet to run to detect your OS. If you block the applet it will eventually timeout and provide a direct link.
Once installed, you can run it locally.
This is incorrect. You can absolutely do gigabit with PoE. Gigabit PoE phones and access points are commonplace nowadays.
OP -- I would recommend this switch... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16833150122
24 gigabit ports... 12 of which are PoE. Web gui to configure vlans and...
Windows 8 includes a new version of rdp that is noticeably better. You can download it for Windows 7. Search for rdp 8.1 update. I did some testing and streaming video is doable but not above Youtube 480p if i remember correctly. I think 720p had issues. Im sure a fps game would still be...
Each interface on the servers can have it's own gateway. So give nic1 on servers 1 and 2 a gateway of 192.168.0.1 and then your traffic from the spoke will be returned.
As currently configured if you were to perform a packet capture on server 1 you would see traffic coming in from the spoke...
Did you get this working?
I would suggest removing the speed and duplex commands and make sure the host is configured for auto as well. I find it better to let copper gigabit auto-negotiate.
Troubleshoot layer 1 then 2.
If there are servers and workstations that currently share that network I would take this opportunity and separate them.
Leave the servers in the current /24 network and created a new network for workstations. This would make securing the server network easier in the future. This however...
If you have 2 drops at each desk just made make them different vlans and install a second nic in the workstations assuming that you can bind your software to use the desired interface.
If the problem is that you only have 1 drop at each desk then you could make that a trunk port and install a...
If the die on the same row share a dot in the same position it cancels out and will not be on the remaining die. It works up and down but not diagonally.
