I think not enough information is provided in the article to really figure out what this is about. I think that the way the story is written has just sensationalized things.

I just bought a leather jacket and noticed the following marks on it after I got home. I have outlined them in red... the red color is from photoshop not on the jacket.

I think it's very unprofessional to speak any language but English (and French in QC) at work. It tends to exclude people and should have no benefits as staff should understand English. The exception would be clients/customers/patients who don't speak English.
