So.... I'm expecting a delivery by UPS and I'm wondering if it's it safe to post a tracking number to the public? Like.... can someone change the delivery address or delay delivery or just do plain nasty stuffs if they have my tracking number? Thanks in advance.
They are backward-compatible. You could try re-installing the SATA controller drivers from Asrock's website or NVIDIA's 6.84 WHQL-certified drivers. That, or try swapping out with a different cable, if you have a spare.
Thanks for your help so far, Roguestar. Any idea if there is a nearby Seagate service center, I could specifically ask for non-SD15 firmware for my next ST31000340AS? I've been reading around some more and I can positively confirm that most drives that come with SD15 firmware have pre-mature...
There is even a neat little tab on my Device Manager > nForce4 SATA Controller now, and I can use it to test the read speed of my Raptor 74GB.
Transfer mode: SATA Generation 1 - 1.5Gb
Burst Speed - 110.7
Sustained Speed - 70.9
Does that sound right? Expected from a Raptor 74GB?
