What is a good router?

I picked up a Linksys Wireless-B router a few months back and I've been using it wired. Works like a dream and looks pretty cool too. The price was also good on it - not the cheapest, and not the most expensive. I'd say Linksys or D-Link or Netgear would do just fine. Thankfully there aren't...

Really SCREWED...

wininet.dll is an important file, as would the help file. The true type font - doesn't really matter. Best recommendation - format your HD (use a boot disk, like mentioned in another post here), and re-install Windows XP. IF you're getting errors, make sure: 1) Your copy of XP is legit...

Can't get OS to install on new computer

Also check to make sure everything is seated properly... Might be a confict on the IDE chain. Try using 2 different IDE cables - or make sure you're not using the older style IDE cables, they don't have enough bandwidth. I had that problem before, swapping out to the newer IDE cables solved...

bad sectors on HD

Yes and no... A drive will only get worse as time goes on. However, keep in mind I had a hard drive with about 2MB of bad sectors on it, and other then those, it worked fine, and continued to work fine for 3 years after they appeared, until I just threw out the drive when I upgraded to 2 large...
