I was thinking there would be some problems with hard drive spin up/spin down. But in an OS like DOS, or on BIOS boot up, a HD is smart enough to hold its own. I still plan on testing this with a small 2.5" drive I have, wish me luck. I'll let everyone know how it goes.
After seeing this site: http://www.aemmenet.ch/Publikationen/CFtoIDEpinout.html and reading about devices to use compact flash cards as boot up devices on the IDE channels of computers I had the bright idea that I could possibly wire up an IDE drive to a CF card and put it in my PDA.
I looked...
I have seen many pros and cons of both of these board: 8KHA+ and XP333-R. The 8KHA+ looks good because alot of people recommend it. I have not seen that much info on the XP333.
I am leaning toward the epox since it is a name that has been associated with good products for a long time. I...
I was going to get one of these because it seemed like a good board hailed at every site I've seen. That is, until I saw this thread. Are all these problems rare or very common with this board. Is it more of a pain than it is worth to reap the benefits of it once you get it working properly...
the human retina can be compared to a field of various spikes. There are thousands of "rods and cones" scattered accross it. Each rod or cone sees one color, red, blue, or yellow, sort of like the inverse of a CRT screen. However, i would liek to see that document about why CRTs cant produce...
thats really cool, and as already stated, it could be used to clean up almost anything! nice! now they have a reason not to pump it to the bottom of the ocean...
High school physics class is a horrible place to learn electronics, sure you are taught Ohm's law and other rhetoric, but how does it apply to real electronics. I saw some people in here saying that a 330 Ohm resistor is proper for the amount of V and current drop you want to drive an LED, but...
the various versions of windows have always had difficulty seeing other versions partition types, try a Me boot disk, then a 95 boot disk, then a 98 boot disk, and whatever else until it works.
ALSO PROBABLY THE PROBLEM
If your friend has Ez-Bios installed (allows you to use large capacity hard...
Look up the Diffe-Helman algorithm it is a rather simple algorithm which uses the properties of exponents to cancel out unknowns with a randomly generated number and a known number transferred between the two parties. I believe it is implemented in Blowfish encryption.
Basically there is a chip inside that responds to a certain radio frequency. I do not know about a battery, there may be one, jsut the speedpass's output is so low it barely gets drained, but from how long they last I'd say there is no battery. In that case, the RF energy from the receiver is...
Well, consider this:
AMD's fate really lies in the hands of Dell, HP<>Comaq, Gateway, Sony, and every other system manufacturer. The people who buy a CPU judging it by benchmarks and ratings are a small minority. If AMD is below Intel for awhile it won't really matter cause manufacturers will...
I was sorta lookign for that here too, I want to see what owners of these cards think of their cards. I've read alot of reviews and alot of data. the Radeon seems liek a good choice cause I liek to watch movies and I do want VIVO and good TV out quality. If i had the money I'd get a GeForce...
I would assume then that NVIDIA has released superior drivers when compared to ATI's released drivers?
ATI Radeon 64MB DDR - D7.11-CD01
NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS 64MB DDR - Detonator 5.30
Semi-Current
ATI Radeon DDR 32MB - 4.12.7103
NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS 64MB DDR - 11.01
It seems ATI...
