It appears as though IBM has finally shipped my computer after over a month of waiting. It will be here on Wednesday, or as I would like to refer to it as "Judgement Day". I am going to subject it to heavy physical testing to see if they live up to the durable thinkpad name. We shall see.

I can't believe this! IBM admits this problem on all of their laptops!!! Man oh Man am I gonna freak out! and tell my colleagues that you think that bird crap on the keyboard is funny and they are likely to chocke the life out of you.

I refuse to get my thinkpad from that guy bill at thinkpads.com. Two of my associates that ordered from him had bird crap all over the keyboard. Another guy that works for me got a t30 from him a while back and when he went to change the memory, he found feathers inside the computer. I don't...

please elabortae on "pretty much disappeared". Do you still see any smudges.... is there any permanant damage?! how did you used to carry it around. I'm really going to throw this thing in a bonfire if i see the smallest trace of a smudge!

have you still been having problems with the keys pressing up against the LCD? I swear I am going to throw my t40 into oncoming traffict if it exhibits this.

If my screen smudges from the keys when I carry this thing mark my mords, I will throw it against the wall as hard as I can until it breaks top little bitty pieces. i will them purchase a cat and never use computers again!

Well, it's good to hear that the problem isnt "that bad" still a little worrysome to hear none the less. I'm telling you, I treated the powerbook like a baby and the screen wrecked itself. I really wanted to not have to baby this thing, and believed that was the case due to all reviews...
