I had the exact same problem a couple of years ago, turned out to be an incompatibility of some sort between the mobo and the power supply (Seasonic S12). I replaced the Seasonic with an OCZ PSU and it's been working fine ever since.

Attention 8800GTS 512 G92 owners

I've been running the 169.25s too, and I'm impatiently waiting for nvidia to release a driver version that actually works (stupid game profile AA bug.) :|

Is there any way to disable the motherboard section of ntune? It keeps messing with my case fan speeds.

Anyone else not getting sound in the demo? It works fine in the introduction, but as soon as the gameplay starts, I hear nothing. Edit: nevermind, just had to make an ALchemy profile for it.

Just Bought first X2

You should be able to hit 2.5 easily. I bought one from Newegg about a week ago, and I've got it running stable at 2.77ghz with 1.325v. Gets pretty hot though, 41°C idle, near 60° under heavy load. As for SupCom, switching to dual-core didn't seem to raise my max framerate by a whole lot...

My screen is bouncing with Firefox

If your bookmark toolbar is empty, hide it. That fixed the problem for me.

Too late to join Eve online?

$800,000? That sounds like fuzzy math to me. I'd like to see his calculations. Going by a rate of 10 million isk per dollar, that'd be equivalent to 8 trillion isk. I don't think any single alliance in EVE is worth anywhere near that much. That's just a huge amount of money.

The New and Improved "G80 Stuff"

Coming out before R600 and a G80 refresh I can't say specifically, but even a few games that are out right now could stand to run a bit more smooth IMO (Oblivion comes to mind.)
