Turns out Crucial's website says the server supports non-ECC RAM but their actual internal system says it does not. The latter is accurate. So RMA filed and new RAM ordered. (unfortunately I bought from newegg so crucial won't handle the return)
I bought this:

Is it possible to have multiple Netgear WN802T WAPs plugged into the same router? We have them at separate ends of the house and it seems that if more than one user is online via wireless or if both WAPs are on at the same time then your connection to anything beyond the WAP you're connected...
Now Windows is reporting no volumes. What software can I use to try and re-create what volume was on there without losing the information? I'm going to load a Linux 'live' CD and see if it recognizes anything on there or even better fdisk can give me some drive information.
One of our Senior Vice Presidents has a thumb drive that is no longer responding. When I plug it into a computer, Windows Explorer recognizes that a drive has been plugged when you click on the drive a window pops up saying "Please insert a disc into Drive E:".
Ever seen that before?
I've been tasked with doing a pricelist of hardware for a recent corporate acquisition. And honestly I have no experience with Exchange and the amount of overhead that may or may not be required for running it as an email server. So, I'm hoping someone can make some recommendations as to a...
Our DBA was testing an Oracle/Peoplesoft feature of some sort - I believe the whole thing works like this -
Peoplesoft connects to email account, downloads emails, extract included resumes (.docs), and then does something with it all. Well our guys at the NOC would not give him a dummy...
It's a new G5 running OS X 10.4.x
It communicates well enough with the exchange server to send/receive email but it refuses to figure out the whole Global Address Book thing.
Everything I've found on the web says that all I need to have our office Mac w/ the newest version of Entourage access the Global Address List is to point it at a domain controller, but that certainly doesn't seem to be the case as it fails repeatedly.
Anyone have any experience with this and...
We have a user on our domain that has trouble sending email. Occassionally the email cannot be sent and Outlook claims that it is because he is over quota. But the user account has no quota limitations on it. The problem has persisted between different exchange servers (we have 6) and over...
Some people would rather listen to the sound coming out of their speakers than the sound coming out of their computer case.
How many people don't like being at a movie theatre and hearing the HVAC going? How many people like watching a DVD while listening to the DVD spin in the player...
I know WEP has been replaced (and was never worth a damn anyway), but what is the replacement and is it any good?
A company employee wants to install a wireless setup at her house and the company has approved the purchasing of wireless card (she will have to buy the router). I want to install...
I can't buy. It has to go through the procurement department. I can merely put in a list of the parts I need and recommend a a vendor. But because we're a government contractor they have to go through certain other types of vendors first (basically affirmative action for businesses).
