8.1 (and it's included with xp), but I don't think it'd be directx (unless the basic gui stuff was controlled by direct sound, which I don't think it is...). It's not that sounds won't play, it's just that they won't play when an event happens... my best guess is that the drivers mess something...
Alrighty, I have an Audigy and XP. After setting up XP and installing the drivers off of the Audigy CD, everything works fine. However, when I update the drivers with those found on CLab's website (both the 10-25-01 set and the 1-22-02 set) it disables all my system sounds. When you look at...
<< With solid state memory dropping in prices like this, how long until we see affordable 1gb solid state drives? Heck, couldn't you set this up as a boot drive somehow and boot windows (or your OS of choice) almost instantly? >>
Not quite. CF cards typically max out at 3 megs/sec transfer...
Question- I've seen all the pictures of the PCI Wireless cards, and all they look like are PCMCIA cards stuck in a PCMCIA->PCI adaptor... am I right to assume this? If I were to pull out the PCMCIA part, will that work in a notebook?
Right, but I'm looking for an automatic and continous solution- for example, I choose connect and my second outlook connects to the first and gets the changes in calendar, notes, etc. The closest I can come to describing it is that it works the same as ActiveSync or when using Exchange Server...
See if there's an option in Bios Called "Win 95 No FDD" or similar. I know that the 9x series had a problem that, if you had no floppies installed and set it so in bios, windows still reported a floppy drive.
Hey-
I'm looking for a solution/ program that would allow me to sync two copies of Outlook on two computers- namely a laptop and PC. It's kind of similar to how a PDA syncs, but I haven't found any options or anything like that. Ideas?
If you're worried about the quantities at newegg, do this:
1. Add the item to your cart
2. For the quantity desired, put in 99
3. Update the page
4. The quantity will be changed to whatever they have in stock. If it stays at 99, then they have at least 99 in stock.
Truly works. I do agree, a...
I have a Goldstar (back before they became LG) vga res monitor, circa 1990. Still works with Linux. My first computer (*sniff*... 386-16, 1 meg ram, 40 meg hdd, 5.25 and3.5 HD drives) was a Goldstar. They're built well. Anyway, my cousin bought one of these, and it's not horrible. I'm happy...
I dunno, slap 128 or 256 megs of ram into it, install your favorite distro of linux, and you have a nice server. Don't need good video or anything else like that- just a good cpu and some ram.
This isn't a hot deal. This card will barely play anything now a days. You _MIGHT_ get it to do Half Life or UT at 640, but I wouldn't risk it. You'd have better luck with a GF2MX PCI or a Radeon PCI, but definitely not this. I do have one, and I speak from experience. Back in the day they...
