My 9800GTX does choke on very high with 4 x AA. I can play at very high but with no AA. 2 AA is playable but not fluid enough for me.
I am quite disappointed to hear that the GTX 260 216 would choke too. I was thinking that the 260 was good for 1680 x 1050 and below but nothing above that...
I have been wondering this for a while. Right now i have a E8400 , 4 gigs of RAM , a 9800 GTX (not the + version) and i game at 1680 x 1050 on a 20 inches monitor.
The 9800 GTX is OK and i can pretty much play anything with high details and some AA/AF but i can get the GTX 260 216 for 180 $...
Ok sa basically i can't seem to figure out how to share files from their original location on my network ni matter what i do. Mt main PC has Vista 64 and my laptop has Vista 32. I can share files between both machines but they have to be in one of the "Public" folder or otherwise it won't work...
So , what you're saying Jack is that i should buy an HGA for my client and not my router ? Interesting because i thought it would be the opposite. Just show you how much i know about wireless networks :P.
Always was a wired man until not long ago .
Ok so i have a little problem with the strength of my wireless signal and i would like to know which of these 2 solutions you guys think is the best for my situation before i invest $$$ in either one of those.
Basically my main desktop is located upstairs with a WRTG54S router plugged in it...
lol , i was just trying to make a point and that was just an exemple.
I don't actually think that the GTX 280 will make your monthly bill go up by 50 $ :P
People are complaining (and rightfully so) because the GTX 280 is not a wise investment at 649 $ considering the performence , especially with the 4870 (who is rumored to be sold at half of the cost) around the corner.
Sure , some people will try to tell you otherwise but it's the truth. But...
I disagree on the first part
You pay for the card once while you pay your for electricity monthly so it's not really comparable , especially your bill goes up by 50 $ or more.
I see no point in going from a 8800Ultra to a GTX 260 based on the benchs i have seen so far. If you really want to upgrade you should get a 280 but even then i don't think it's worth it at that price tag unless :
1) You game at 1900 x 1200 or 2500 x 1600 and want to use AA
2) You plan to...
Those are actually NCIX prices ;).
And yeah i know that it was 89$ last week but that was a limited offer that ended yesterday i think. It's now 97 $ after a 15 $ instant rebate. Not that i really care about paying 8$ more anyway.
From the sound of your post the WD 640 really does seem like...
Title is self explanatory
Does the 16mb cache vs 32mb cache really improve the performence of an hard drive or is it just a marketing gimmick ? I currently have a 250gig 16mb cache Seagate Hard drive and i plan to upgrade to a 500 gig and i plan to go with Western Digital since i found the...
I went for the Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3L for 92$ CAN. It's cheap , got good reviews/recommendations , has some OC potential and i don't need all the extra of the EP35-DS3R so it was the logical choice for me. This is going to be my first Gigabyte board (always went with Asus in the past and never...
