This has nothing to do with SPAM e-mails. If I thought that's what my employer wanted to do, then I would quit. I didn't create this post to debate the ethics of asking someone you don't know on MYSPACE to be your MYSPACE friend. I am a musician, and I do it daily, and bands, record labels...

I work for a talent / booking company. A company like this would be a fool to not use MySpace to reach out to musicians and artists. It's no different in any way than using a tags and tools to get your name to come up at the top of a search engine.

Windows built in WIA support would not scan before or after I installed the old version of the software, and it would scan a blank page after I installed the 3.55 vistascan.

I'm having an issues with this USB scanner on a client's computer. The version of software that came with the computer would not recognize that the scanner was even there, and Windows built in support would not scan anything either. The U.S site for Umax won't let you download VistaScan 3.55...

I've had more problems with TV-Out quality from my PC than the DivX quality itself. That's more in the hands of the encoder. All you people complaining that you can't stand to watch a DivX movie on the television.... I have to ask... what did you ever do before DVD, because my VHS tapes...

real player freezes with ati radeon 9700 pro (dell)

w00t go basthi! That sure did it. I had the exact same issue with Catalyst 3.2s... started freezing with .rm files. Just slide that Video Compatibility bar to the middle and it works fine, watching an episode while I'm typing this =) Thanks for the help guys.

got me there :D As I said, I'm not an expert and I appreciate you clearing up my misinfo. and I don't think consumers are all stupid... Apple is still a niche market and has its loyal buyers just like anything else... AMD, Intel, whatever. I just think it would be nice if consumers that dont...
