Help! only one dvi works

I have a pair of Dell 1901FP running dual-head. After upgrading from ASUS P4S800D mb+XFX 6800GT to Abit IP35Pro+MSI 8600GTS, one of the dvi's won't send any signal to the monitor any more. I have tried all the combinations, so all the monitors and cables are working fine. Any thoughts? TIA.

Does 5400rpm or 7200rpm make a difference?

Peter, In other words, if I use the drive as a working directory (e.g. developing, editing, etc.) faster drives would still be, well, faster, due to the access time difference? I'm indeed considering 2.5" drives. Does the same conclusion apply to those? Thanks. corkyg, I will need to move...

I'm looking for a usb2.0 external drive, and wondering whether a 7200rpm drive would be significantly faster than a 5400rpm, or is the speed capped by the usb connection anyways? Thanks for any input.

How do you force XP to reinstall the USB 2.0 driver?

I think somehow my XP has been messed up to the point that it won't recognize any of the flash drives, it recognizes the USB mouse only when the mouse is plugged into certain ports, but not others, and it always recognizes devices that come with their own drivers(e.g. my printer). Any flash...

I meant the video card temp as reported by nvidia driver. The CPU/MB could peak at 55/42C, which I know is kind of to the high end, but my machine sits under an office desk where the heat dissipation situation isn't that good...

It peaks at 67-68C. BTW, I just tried disabling Avast Antivirus and played for 1.5 hours without a problem. Will see if this jinxes it...

My complaint as far as BF2 is concerned is it doesn't allow adjusting gamma or brightness -- or is it just me missing it?

Need some quick Java help

The only way I can think of is Runtime.exec("<cmd>"), where <cmd> depends on your native OS, e.g., "cls" in windows.

Machine reboots after resuming from standby

Ever since I've got the new XFX 6800GT(AGP) installed, the Windows XP standby stopped working. Everytime when it is supposed to wake up, it reboots itself instead. Any one seen this? Thanks!

What's this non-stop beep about?

I just got a new XFX 6800GT to replace a Ti4600. The mb is ASUS P4S800D-E. As soon as I hit the power button, it starts making this nonstopping beep. I checked the mb manual which says "long beep in endless loop" means system memory error, but as soon as I put the old Ti4600 back, everything...
