ATI Radeon 9700/9800 or Nvidia Gforce 5900/5950 scale better for mid-range CPU/memory setup?

sigh...i know that upgrading my cpu/mobo/ram is definitely the best route... Humor me, would Nvidia be a better bet for scaling on the direction (ie. mid range systems)?

Hot!! Viewsonic VPW425 42" Plasma for $2700

I recently bought this unit from Dell (under $3000 shipped)...So far I am very happy w/ it. The built-in TV tuner and speakers work well, and progressive scan DVDs look very good too. The only bad thing I can say about it is the weak remote that came w/ it...but I am planning buying a fancy...

BGR vs RGB LCD Monitors

Need help: Does anyone know if there is any LCD model that is BGR (rare) as opposed to RGB (common)? Take a look at this http://www.microsoft.com/typography/faq/brg.gif and you will be able to tell which one your monitor is. I have a BGR display order LCD (Dell FP 18") and I really would like...

FX5800 or 9700PRO
