Maybe another question to ask is "Is there a better way to accomplish what I'm trying to do?". I just need the users to have a printer setup when they login. It would be preferable to have an easy way to change it for groups of users on all workstations but not required. Any insight into this...
I think maybe I didn't explain it very well. The users can run "rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /?" and probably some other switches. The login script will work if I put "rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /?" into the login script instead of "rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /if /b "lj5si" /f...
Well, the error is coming from "rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry". so it seems like they are able to access the login script ok. Thanks for the suggestion.
I have a w2k domain with 2 servers. I have the users in Organizational Units. I have a login script that works fine under administrator for mapping printers at login and unmaping them at logout, but regular users get an access denied error. I found this document on Microsofts website explaining...
Yep, I tried that too, but it still didn't find anything. I'm assuming that it is something I don't want. I put it on a floppy and deleted it from my computer. I just hope there aren't anymore remnants of it that I'm missing.
Thanks
I'm running W2k SP3. I found it in C:\WINNT\System32\
It's about 34.5Kb in size. It was making some sort of internet connection because my activity lights on my cable modem were solid. as soon as I killed the proccess it stopped. I searched microsofts knowledge base, google, and symantecs AV...
They want to be able to do some video editing and output the display to a TV. Ya it might be a little overkill. I didn't really want to put in an ATI because I've had a few problems with thier drivers and from some of the posts i've read ATI really hasn't fixed thier problems.
Well, This client came to us and asked for a white box. I've built quite a few PCs and never had any problems with reliability. I've repaired plenty of HPs and Compaqs and don't like them at all. They use cheap parts and cut corners anywhere they can. Dell seems to do a pretty good job, but it's...
I'm building about 50 systems for a client so I want to make sure I don't miss anything. We're looking to make the most stable and reliable system that we can for the least amount of money. It has to be micro ATX because they want a small footprint. I would have liked to have sold an AMD system...
From what I could tell it's a 500Mhz system. I'm assuming the processor is included. Can you OC it? No, it's a Gateway MB with Gateway bios. You still need to purchase
CDrom drive - most likely proprietary $50-130
Floppy drive - most likely proprietary $50-120
KB - proprietary ussually over...
Update - I installed DX8.1 and now I get video and audio again, but it still locks up moving and resizing windows. Back where I started. I think I've pretty much eliminated that a PCI slot could be the issue. FYI - this MB has onboard audio so I couldn't remove it and Ididn't try disabling it...
Sorry for the long post.
Well, It's going downhill. I Removed all PCI Cards and installed the tuner in another slot. Same thing. Moved it to a different slot and now it tells me
The TV player failed to initialize the video.
Ensure the correct video drivers have been installed and close any...
