Windows screen turns black

i tried installing a graphics card (geforce 6200) and i can't seem to get the proper drivers? or something. i tried installing it with the cd that came with it - after getting to a certain point, the screen goes black and won't work. (if i restart, it goes black after finishing loading...

i'll try to describe this the best i can i have an ev3a geforce 6200le i tried installing the drivers through the cd that came with it but when i tried it said something along the lines like 'windows denied access to this file' so i went to the website and tried to install the drivers...

nevermind, i fixed that one by shorting the 24? or 20 pin connector. anyway, i had to replug that back to finding out why it wont load pasdt windows :P im trying to get another win xp cd

ive tried both pieces of ram one at a time would resetting the cmos really help in turning on the computer? unless your giving me help to get past the perpetual windows rebooting, in which case i think i need more help in actually turning on my computer now

i actually found the 2 pins connectors and plugged them in, but it still doesn't work. i tried taking a paper clip and touching the two pins together, but my computer didnt turn on from that either. i'm starting to think i messed up more than just here

i'll post a picture when i get home - if i can get on a computer again. but the wires say vcc1 data - data + and vcc2 data - data + (or it could be + then -)

if my power button is 3 pins, and my reset button is 3 pins, but my motherboard indicates that it only allots two pins to the power button and the reset button, does that mean it won't work? im assuming it does - since i plugged it in anyway and triedf to turn it on with no luck. but i...

P4 Socket 478 Heatsink Removal?

I don't think i put tat much, just put some on and placed heatsink on and smuhed it down.
