I will pull down all the current updates from MSupdate then apply all the hotfixes
discussed in the MS article you pointed to.
There are a lot of X2 downloads listed on the AMD website. Still hoping someone can tell
me which of those AMD pgms are absolutely necessary.
I'm currently doing my 1st dual core build using an A64 X2 4600+.
I'm at the point where I've installed the OS WinXPpro-SP2 and all the Nvidia drivers from
the MB vendors? site. I have no Yellow ? when I display the Device Manager. I've yet to pull down any updates from MSoft website...
socket 754 cpu is outdated. Your choices are slim. Reviews for the ECS Nrotce3-a appear to have been good. If it met you needs I would stick with the devil you know.

My board came preloaded with V3.20 bios. Before attempting to upgrade I would like to get my hands on the zip file for 3.2. MSI download page only lists the new V34 file. Does anyone know where I can still pull the 7207v32.zip down from?
Crusty01 - thanks for your reply. I've since gone back and restarted from scratch following the Quick recpie. I set mem to 166 and started CPU-LDT at 230 then climbed up by 2 each time. Started failing Prime95 within 2 minutes at CPU-LDT 240. Backed down to 238 and pass 12 hour Prime95 test...

All my all my attempts to OC are failing. I'm trying to use Renethx pg1 OC quick recpie but I cheated a little and started with CPU-LDT=244 then started backing down to =232 before giving up.
With every attempt XP boots no problem but I fail Prime 95...
