i would probably pop for Win98SE simply because ME has its problems..Oh and unless you intend to have 3D Studio Max and Photoshop open at the same time to do some modeling, or your course (which i doubt) has some apps that yum down memory, i would say leave the extra RAM till later.
The K7T-Pro 2 is very stable, performs well and isn't as expensive as the A7V. But if you intend to run 8 hard drives off your motherboard, the A7V could be the better choice ;)
judging from some of the specs you have, it would prolly be best to upgrade before playing anyway because you wouldn't be impressed if you got into a game thats for sure. :(
But then most servers are Intel based because Corporate's need the on-site support from companys like Dell. Considering the stability of an MSI motherboard and a T-bird, perhaps when the 760 comes out more servers will be AMD..
i had a good looksie through the manual and the bios, with no luck :(
guess i'll just have to crank the geforce up some more! got it at 130/180 with a ventilation fan from a desktop 468 drilled n bolted into the tower casing, which does a good job at sucking out all the hot air.
Is there any way of enabling Fast Writes on this little number? I've tried Coolbits and that doesn't work, and it is grayed out on the Creative AGP Wizard, but yet PCIList says its supported by the motherboard. i'm running a Geforce SDR/Anihilator btw.
