OLpal, what 1 card solution would outperform a 2 card 8800 GTS 512 in SLI? I mean, I noticed in tests that the 8800 GTS 512 outperformed the GTX even since the chip was newer on the GTS 512(G92) Considering you can get a GTS 512 for around $200, what 1 card solution can outperform it for...

Winterpool, is there an SLI board out there that you think would be as good as the P35? As far as I remember, the P35 doesn't do SLI. I figured an SLI of 2 8800 GTS 512Meg boards (G92 chip) would be a better performing solution for the price. Or am I off here? DarkRogue, thanks for the...

I see, so then your board as it says in the web site is capable of DDR2 1200 memory which is in fact 600 FSB? Is that right? And if that is right, why didn't you go with that higher memory (or is there some conflict with other component speeds?)

DarkRogue, ok, I think I understand. But then what system board would the higher memory speeds be for? You have 800, but I've seen 1066, 1333, 1600, 1800, and even 2000. In fact, Gigabyte's web site says this about your board... "Supports DDR2 1200(OC)* memory for outstanding system...

DarkRogue I have a quick question (excuse me if I seem ignorant) but I see in your sig that you have DDR2-800 memory. If the GA-EP35-DS3P is capable of FSB of 1333 why didn't you go with faster memory? Just curious.

Need help with new system $2k budget

I was hoping to stick with an x16 SLI board. I mean if they're capable of running at that speed, why not. right? Also, I've had issues with P35 chipsets that I've built for other people. They seem to be really picky on what ram it will work with. And like you said, I don't think they work...

Problem with x1900xt 512MB with Asus P5NSLI board

Pardon my ignorance on this subject, but why would you want to use an ATI video card in an Nvidia SLI motherboard? Wouldn't you want to use a motherboard that can do Crossfire video (in case you want to go the dual video card route in the future)? Or conversely use an Nvidia video card...
