I found out that what I thought were batteries aren't batteries. They are capacitors. Anyway, here is a picture of my motherboard, and which capacitors are leaking, bad and bent over:

Suddenly, for the first time today, my computer will not post. It hasn't been cleaned for about a year, so I'm in the process of cleaning it thoroughly with an air compressed can. However, there is also something else I noticed which I've never witnessed before.
The BATTERIES--those little...
I have Verizon DSL. Both of my Win. XP Pro comps are on a network using a Linksys router, and both computers connect to DSL just fine. Now, based on a situation I have with MSN Messenger, I would like you folks to give me your input as to whether "this" is normal or not:

Thanx for the tips. When I place this credit card peice, do I place it against the heatsink first and then the thermalpaste, or do I put the thermal past on the heatsink first and then the credit card?

Ambient temperature? What is it and where do I find that out? Also, I doubt I installed it backwards...for there is only one way to put it on...
*sure wishes that my PC Config class had taught some of these things such as maintenance and performance analysis, other than just "how...
Let me change something:
I have TWO rear exhaust fans, TWO front exhaust fans, 1 CPU fan with standard heatsink (came with 2700+). All spin normally, but CPU still gets too hot with closed up case.
The two front exhaust fans blow inward, and the two rear exhaust blow outward.
To compensate...
