BoxenBase - Battlestations, rigs, desktops, etc.

I've been working on a side project site where you post pics of your battlestations, rigs, specs, etc. Looking for some more people to test the site out and let me know what you think. So far you can just post pics of your battlestation, guts, desktop, and list your specs. Planning on adding...

DD-WRT and Bandwidth Monitoring

Also, I should point out that the dd-wrt guys released their own rflow collector program for windows. Only problem is it is in german but you can still see what ip is using how much bandwidth.

I'd suggest using ntop with the rflow app that is built into dd-wrt. You can run an ntop server from a windows machine but you have to pay to get precompiled windows binaries. Otherwise its free as in beer if you run it under linux.

Modern wire probes / toners?

I'm in need of a new wire toner and probe, has anyone used something like the Fluke intellitone series? Is there any advantage to these or I should stick with the tried and true designs that have been around for ages?

Panasonic Plasma prices dropping early

The PX50 is the consumer model with the tuner, cable card slot, and speakers. The 8uk's are the commercial models with no speakers, no tuner, no stand, more image controls, and removable/upgradeable input cards. I believe the px50 have the 7th generation glass, the 8uk's the 8th generation...

Panasonic Plasma prices dropping early

The Panasonic Plasma price drops have begun. The new 42" Commercial edtv model is down to $1474. HDTV model is down to 2,245. http://www.visualapex.com/plasma/plasmamfr.asp?MFR=Panasonic (Visual Apex is a reputable dealer) Tv Authority and Plasma Concepts also have similar prices.
