thanks, i read it. just thought i'd say, my standard practice is switch off at the psu (leave the cord in place EU 230V) press the button on the front of the case (seems to work on my neo2 to discharge any residual juice ie. it lights up, momentarily - doesn't do anything on this p5wdh)...

Just to confirm, the RAM has been found faulty. Should have the replacement soon. A bit OT, but I am wondering if anyone knows of (or has encountered) a situation where good RAM has been damaged by a faulty board? I always try ground myself on the chassis, but I could have damaged it. The...

Yes, at both manual and default settings it (the stick that will enable a POST) produces errors. I left it running 1hr30 and it produced errors in every test - the most relevant ones(?) being 10K in 7 and 3K in 5. Maybe just relative to the software, but trying the 'advanced' tells me...

Which concert to go to?

If it has to be one, I've got to pick between the (only!) two I know...and it certainly would not be Eric Clapton. I guess Roger Daltrey is also a bit "slow" and fuddy duddy now...but at least they were exciting at one point in their history :-)

Have one of these, trying to install RAM (Corsair XMS 6400 CAS5). First install was fine ie. Windows XP installed ok. The mobo defaulted the RAM down to PC2-5300, so I set it manually in the BIOS to the manufacturers timing. Machine ran ok for a few days. There began some start-up problems ie...
