Slow Startup Time

My 2 1/2 year old desktop PC has progressively been getting slower and slower on startup. Today, it took nearly 10 minutes to restart, load startup applications, and get up to a normal speed. Once it gets going, it runs relatively fine. Does anyone know what is causing such a slow startup...

BSOD Crash on Toshiba Laptop startup

Frankenstein style upgrade... some questions

My concern was mostly with the difficulty switching out the mobo, CPU, and memory on my current system. Would it cause any difficulties?

Strange performance issue...

I'll try turning off the auto-update and see if that helps. I have a OCZ Modstream 520watt PSU, which I think should be plenty to run my system.

Strange performance issue...

I run McAfee, which only checks for updates and runs on it's own in the middle of the night. I don't think it's linked to any specific program, and I've run virus and spyware/adware scanners, so unless the programs I have for that (McAfee, Spybot, & Adaware SE) missed something, I don't think...

Strange performance issue...

Home Theater setup with PC 5.1 System

Ideally, I would like to have 5.1 sound for my TV, DVD player, and Computer with as few speakers as possible. I have a large set of so-so 5.1 speakers from an Aiwa CD/tape/radio set that I could bring, but I'd rather find a way to run all then sound through the Logitech speakers.

Major Video Errors on Desktop System

Can't boot to safemode... doesn't even get that far before the screen goes blank. I don't think it could be heat because I've never had an issue with heat in the year I've had the system. The PSU seems to be powering everything just fine.
