GFX card overheating?

It could be broken, but, it's not really important - the fan is crap anyone. Buy a low noise 80mm case fan or two and cludge them onto the GFX card. It works for me.

Optical In problems with SBlive! Drive

Thanks. I might do that, but I'm also thinking of buying an Audigy card. Do you have any idea if it'll work with the SBlive!'s drive bay? What's CMSS? My SBlive! is capable of 5.1 surround, but I have tonnes of problems with it's official drivers. The APS live! drivers work better for me...

I can get it to work with the APS Live! drivers, but they don't seem to produce surround sound - whatever goes out of channels 1 and 2 comes out the same with channels 7 and 8

I'm trying to wire up my DVD player to my PC so I can make use of 4 channel sound. I'm using the Creative drivers for the Sound Blaster Live! card with the drive bay board I can't find any controls for Optical In - everything else is there but not that. I tried using the SPDIF ports on the DVD...

In one of the pictures - that astronaut's suit looks like it's from some Sci-Fi B-movie. I'd like to know if this guy genuinely is a nut, or, that he's a Sci-Fi fanatic talking about his collector's items while a bored journalist assigned to him was busy inventing his own story.

No, it's an auction I've found with someone getting rid of their old ISA and PCI network and gfx cards. I'm hoping someone here has owned that GFX card and tell me what it's like. I've asked the seller and am waiting for a reply

Trash Heap On the bottom row there's a GFX card with a fan and L shaped RAM. Can anyone identify it please? Does anyone recognise the rest of the cards? Think of it as a quiz if you want.

system fail cpu test

Did you try using the AS5 without the HFS on your CPU? If it that's the case the AS5 could have melted and glooped out all over the place. I thought that stuff was supposed to be a near enough perfect electrical insulator.
