(Dead) Maxell 4x 15 pack DVD+R & DVD-R Spindle, Buy 1 get 1 free; Get 4 packs (60 discs) for "$43.94" AC at office Depot

I was able to place an order last night, it actually arrived today...my +R discs are all made in Japan, but my -R discs are made in Taiwan. I didn't open them yet to identify them, in case I can go and exchange them with ones made in Japan...anyone check them?

Yeah, Best Buy had them at 29.99 apparently, and I was able to pricematch with no problem. They only let people buy 3, though. I did just burn a disc and it plays perfectly fine on my norcent dvd player, so I'll just return the other 2 spindles. Or, maybe I could buy the 2 ricoh from CC...

Just got back from BB (circuit city wouldn't price match b/c OM didn't have any in stock :| ) and ended up getting 3 spindles of CMC Magnetics :| . The product number was 3202 xxx, and without any other media to compare to, the color -looked- black to me. Then again, this is my first time...

Can a HD be slave w/ a dvdr as master?

I have an 80 gb seagate as master on my primary ide channel, a 40gb slave on the same channel, and a cdr as master on the secondary channel (no slave is present on the secondary channel). Yesterday I got a dvdr and a 120gb drive at BB, and I was wondering if I could install the 120 on my...

Norcent DP300 DVD Player $39.99 MAR

hrm, the shipping is $9 (!) so that pretty much defeats the rebate anyways... I noticed walmart online also has it for $50 without any rebates....shipping for me was around $6...so I think I might go with that instead...don't like waiting months upon months for rebates. Edit: bleh, forgot...

LAVA Lamps 16.88

Are these pretty nice quality? I got this weird "blob" lamp that was basically some sort of metamorphic plastic polymer that went from 1 big dense lump of solid to a gel form when the lamp finally warmed up for 1-2 hours... the bulb fused after about 8-10 hours and I haven't bothered replacing...

The one time I did the 20 day thing online, it took 3 months to get the rebates. Ever since I've only done the rebates by paperwork and seemingly got them faster. I'm just glad I got them period, though, I never had to call

Deals seems notr to be good.

This site looked suspicious to me, I remember it once being overclockerz.com or something, and then it changed to oc system (I think), and now it's changed again. One reason why, is that it has terrible reseller ratings. Basically, they don't even have the products they're selling, they wait...

DragonBallZ Video CDs for 4.99

This is most definitely NOT legit. The legit release of Dragonball Z in North America are the dvds and tapes released by Funimation. Now they've done a shitass job in my opinion, and won't even release the first 50-60 eps with japanese audio and subs. But yeah, these are bootlegs.

Uh, for those of you actually considering USING the product, I would think its benefit over the nomad/archos players is its small size. 1 gig is enough music for at least 5+ hours... surely that's enough variety for any one moment in time.
