Which wide angle lens for Canon XTi?

I guess I shuould have specified, I can get either for about $200 used on local craigslist. You guys think I should pass on this and pay more for a better lens?

Which wide angle lens for Canon XTi?

Which should I buy? Sigma 17-35mm f/2.8-4.0 vs Sigma 15-30mm f/3.5-4.5 Assume they cost the same price (new vs used). Will use for: 1) Portraits/Close-Ups (because I don't like to stand 6-10 feet away to take portaits.) 2) Low light 3) Landscapes Recommendations? Nightmares?

ever hear of a dead pixel on a crt?

Real old CRT's get dead lines, but I've never heard of pixels until now. My friend's old NEC had 5-6 bands of lines before he replaced it. My current Sony Trinitron has a green-high line near the top and a blue-high line near the bottom. Probably our fault for leaving it on too long or...

Is it possible to flash a Seagate drive to make it NCQ?

imho, you'll only notice NCQ performance on a desktop when it's used with a heavily fragmented hard drive. can you say "danger will robinson?" I not bashing NCQ though. Theoretically less movement should extend the lifetime on your harddrive, but it's too early for conclusive data. I don't...
