PCI-Express power connectors on PSUs.

Doesnt need a lot more, if ever. But to answer your first question, it depends on the PSU you have.

Connecting computer to LCD HDTV -- a few questions

1080p is, correct me 1920x1080. Your playing software should maximize your video to that resolution if possible. But i dont know if that resolution is supported anywhere. Try to put your desktop to 1920x1080 and maximize the media player then. Its the preferred resolution for that TV anyway...

UPDATE: I pull the trigger on the LG 226WT

oops thats not what i get. The effect i get is comparable as you stare into the sun, a spot of negative color (blackish) appears for a while at whatever else you look at. Probably your monitors LCD cells overreact big time. How do i see those menu settings your all posting?

Ah i found enlightment ^^ I bought one LG 226WTQ-SF and those options appear. Even the desktop resolution is 1680x1050. Maximum that is thou i learned. And my other concern was that stretching. I can eliminate it by using the DVI cable, and in Nvidia control panel i can choose it to scale the...

Seems b1gduk has the same monitor as mine. Its difficult to notice an effect your pointing at. As for the cursor trail on the blue background. There seems to be a visible white effect left of the cursor if very slowly moved to the right and looking very close. And it stops as soon as the cursor...

Do you probably mean monitor drivers? As i dont have a widescreen monitor yet i have no option as to speculate if it will work or not. My grafic card drivers are fairly new. Anyway the reply made me more confident

Asus A8N-E chipset fan - How loud?

Well i have a Rev2 board ,and the fan was screamy loud from the beginning. A month or so running, its noises changed in tone from stutter - scream - hiss whatever. Its running like that almost half a year now doing those hickups sometimes ,but is still running. Its keeping a constant 5100ish RPM...

@ the shutdown problem that may still be there.. i think its essential you uninstall your previous chipset drivers and reboot without em before you update.
