fxsts - I totally agree with you on the rotary engines, they kick ass while they last, but the fact that they basically slowly self destruct is kind of an issue. I've had 4 rx7s over the last 8 years and all of them died a slow, painful (leaking) death. Oh well, they were fun while they lasted.

I'd have to agree with legitimate points made by "both sides" of this discussion. Back in the day the original hot rod scene didn't have the luxury of lots of cash to fix up their rides, so they'd get inexpensive cars and in very creative ways push those things to their limit and...
